Second part of the meeting.
Toward the end of the meeting we did start to discuss the understanding of the client to be able to adapt our approach to the individual.
We have referred to this as personality profiling. We are not referring to the Jungian concept of profiling here. We are attempting to understand our clients by the way that they are, and the way they respond to us, and communicate with us.
Whether we want to or not, we are all telling the world who we are. However, we all adapt and change according to circumstances, especially stress.
This requires us to step out side of our own frame of reference, and understand someone one else, and not judge others by our own reference points.
Here it is important to accept that we all have our own personal biases. If we can do this, whilst not personalising the clients comments and behaviour we are on the right path.
